Security: A small issue with 6.5
PHP-NukeBobMarion writes "After doing a lot of testing, I have found that when posting to a site using PHP-Nuke 6.5 there is a blockage on anchor links. If you try to post a story or PM with a href=http://www.ANYTHINGscripts.??? it will cycle you back to the index page on tring to preview the post.

Now the security is needed but all of the sites supporting PHP-Nuke (NukeScripts, MatyScripts, PHPScripts, and so on) with script in their domain name can't post active links in their posts. Luckly I have alternate urls that will forward to www.nukescripts.net but most site owners don't :("

This is caused due to the checks done at the start of mainfile.php, at the moment i have switched resources' mainfile with a modified version of this one [www.nukeresources.com], if nothing goes wrong then i guess others could use it as well.

In fact it is a big issue, especially when you don't know whic of the many links is causing the trouble. I have found there is a critical mass of links beyond which posting articles becomes impossible.

Here is an example of article with links in the body text (see the Linkomat block on the right where they are automatically exposed, BTW, a great function disabled in 6.5 and restored from the 6.0 script)

Hi guys...

Although I don't have this problem, I checked in at http://www.matyscripts.com, and in the same post from bob, he gives his workaround for it.

When he posts a link, he uses a %73 in place of the 's' in his link.

Here is is quote:

"Hi Bob, the workaround I use is replacing the 's' in www.matyscripts.com with '%73'. This works around the problem. EXAMPLE [www.maty%73cripts.com] [http://www.maty%73cripts.com] The '%73' number will be interputed as a 's'."

I guess it will work until a fix comes up? If someone already knew this, sorry for the post.

Shawn
