Google Tap Causing System Resource Issues? |
|
 Its been a while since this was discussed, however, are you finding that googletap has increased resource usage and caused performance degradation? I've heard from admins on boths sides of the fence, some say 'yes' and others report 'no'. The question is, why is this not consistent? At any rate, for those having issues -- until we can figure out why, run this...
From my post earlier, simply install the perl script and make it executable on your server. Enter it into your crontab to run every 5 or 10 minutes like so:
*/5 * * * * /path/to/loadavg.pl
It'll restart your apache, which seems to runaway and we don't yet know why. Your input would be great.
