Glowdot's ShoutCast Suite v2.0 in production
Modulesstrom writes "Glowdot's ShoutCast Suite for PHP-Nuke proved to be extremely popular (more so than we expected, for sure), so we're continuing development.

There are several additions to this version, most of which are currently featured at Glowdot.

Read on for what's included:

Currently, we are showcasing the new features at Glowdot, including a Popup Remote which auto-refreshes every xx seconds. This is identical to the advanced Now Playing block included in the suite, only in a small popup window, allowing users to break away from your site while still receiving useful content relating to your stream. Also included are the Persistent Playlist module, which lists every track played going back to the day you installed the Suite (with number of listeners, links to amazon, et al), and the new Voting System, which allows listeners to vote on the currently playing track. A Track Ranking module is included, listing the top ranked, bottom ranked, and most ranked tracks.

Leading up to the release of 2.0, we are looking for two things: feature requests from current and future SC Suite users, and volunteer beta testers. We usually like to have 2-3 beta testers on hand before the release.

For those not yet using the ShoutCast Suite for Php-Nuke, we recommend getting v1.0, since v2.0 is considerably more complex. Upgrading from 1.0-2.0 will be much easier than trying to get it all running from 2.0. The package can be found at code.glowdot.com

Thanks for listening,
Glowdot"
