FreeNuke in planning stages

Topic: Nuke Cops

Due to recent events, the senior staff on this site have got together and decided it might be a good idea to start a nuke clone.

The basis for this is simple. It's free. it will always be free. There will be no club, no commercial licence, and we - being the developers - will provide you with up-to-the-minute, (mostly) friendly and right-from-the-developers support.

We'd like to know what your opinions are before we move ahead and begin development.

It's going to be called FreeNuke if there's enough support.

The base for it will be Nuke 6.5 with quite a few modules & bits and pieces that aren't included by default with Nuke. Security fixes will have their existance published, but in the interest of preventing the script kiddies from exploiting sites which haven't had the patches applied yet, details of the actual fixes will be limited information for developers only.

We look forward to hearing your opinions. - Please, no flaming though, we're not going against PHP-Nuke and FB so much as providing people with an alternative. It's people's choice which they use.
