I am in the process of upgrading from 5.4 to 7.0. Everything appears to be in order except for two major things.

First, and foremost, my forums are not there! I know that there must be a script somewhere that can assist me in rebuilding the previous discussions (forum currently is PHPBB Forum Addon 1.4.0) and would greatly appreciate any direction from you great and wonderful people

The second thing is that when I am testing the Private Message function, I always get a message that says that I can not send another Private Message so soon after sending the previous one. There's never been a previous one so this is a problem for me.

My current site is www.thereadersplace.com and the upgrade site is www.thereadersplace.com\demo

Again, I hope that I can count on you guys for some quick answers! Have a great weekend!

Shep,

I was able to use the NSN_Move_sp4x600_bb2X600 script to make the necessary chages for the forums...so, that bit is solved....however, I continue to have this problem:

I thought initially that it was due to the server clock and my user time being out of synch...but, that doesn't seem to solve it. Help would be appreciated as always! Thanks for the reply....

I still have the problem with the Private Messages:

I am at my rope's end...any help at all would be appreciated -- I can't even begin to tell you how much!

My site is www.thereadersplace.com/demo and the analyzer file is there if you should need to look at it.

If I am sounding desparate, well, I am getting to that point. I've spent hours trying to find a solution and I'm stuck.

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello, I've the same issue on mi site, but my upgrade was from 5.5 to 7.0 and all the forums post were lost.

I did every single upgrade script from 5.5 to 7.0, I can see all the data in the DB but they are in tables like forums, topics, etc not in bbforums, bbtopics.

Hope you can help

I've have 2 nuke sites.
the older one: www.ciberkids.net
and the new one, which is of another subject.
mircmicro.com

Greetings

I was able to use this script, NSN_Move_sp4x600_bb2X600 (http://www.nukeresources.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=484&ttitle=NSN_Move) to resolve my issue with formatting the data for the forums...as always, please, please make a backup of your database before using this script!!!

Does ANYONE have a suggestion, hint, or recommendation on how I can approach this problem:

I'm wondering if it would be best for me to go back to the upgrade routines and skip any that would involve the move to the Splatt forums??? I know that there is someone out there with some good information on this subject!

Thanks in advance....

What is your nuke_bbconfig/ropm_quick_reply value set to in your database?

Wiitigo,

Looking at the nuke_bbconfig table, I do not have a field named ropm_quick_repl. Is this something that I should have?

Yes it is... Maybe you should grab the nuke.sql from the cvs, don't install it, but open it up and compare all of your bb* tables with it's own. You may need to add missing ones.

Call me crazy, but the nuke.sql that is with my download of 7.0 doesn't have anything that remotely looks like the ropm_quick_repl field. Now I'm worried...can you point me to an accurate nuke.sql?

http://cvs.nukecops.com/cvs.php/sql/nuke.sql?login=2 Check to see any differences, and backup before you do anything. You can also try, http://cvs.nukecops.com/cvs.php/nukesql.php?login=2 with the nuke.sql. Remember to backup.
